TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

I am a mother, writer, owner and dreamer of Sunday Lane - a store and studio founded on modern-day narratives and inspired gifting. I would be best known for my Zodiac Women, verses of powerful musings, a romantic blend of poetry and heart that offer sweet meaning to this beautiful, chaotic life, no matter what the season. We are currently living in Brisbane, Australia while we renovate our dream home on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

WHAT INSPIRED THE SUNDAY LANE JOURNEY?

Sunday Lane began as a personal project, quite literally I wrote and illustrated a print for myself in a time when I needed a soft reminder of all the reasons I was unique, and special, and deserved to be loved. It clearly resonated with so many other women because I was inundated with requests for an entire series and that is the beauty of how Sunday Lane was born.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR BIGGEST SOURCES OF INSPIRATION?

I get asked this alot and honestly there is no secret formula, I create and share what I love and things I am naturally drawn to. Sunday Lane is not separate to who I am - I built it from nothing and it is a complete reflection of my soul. Now that I am starting to build and grow a team of like-minded, incredibly talented creatives that I trust we work together on building the brand and telling the story that is so important to me.

FAVOURITE SELF-CARE RITUALS?

The reality of managing a small business, a toddler and a renovation means self-care often takes a back seat. Working on Sunday Lane fills me up with passion and gives me an immense amount of fulfillment. Not to say I am not tired, or worn out, but I know that this year is for hard-work and long hours. To watch our brand grow and bloom into something that will so soon allow us to take a step back and see what we have created, then I will begin figuring out some of the more significant things I can do for myself as reward. For now, a bath, a face oil and a great podcast.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL SUNDAY?

A day at the Coast with my boys, breakfast at a cafe, working on our home. Sundays have always been so special to me. I recently published an interview with Maddy from Kate & Kole who said "Sundays are for lovers" and that absolutely spoke to my soul.

WHAT'S IN STORE NEXT FOR YOU AND SUNDAY LANE?

Moving our lives, our family and the business to the coast at the end of this year will be such a huge relief. This year is in some strange kind of limbo and although we are working behind the scenes at a million miles an hour, amidst everything that has been thrown at us we have so many dreams and plans that we don't feel ready for until we have a place to call home and to really imagine a future. I've had to remind myself that for now it's okay to work hard in the business and the time for all of the growing I am dreaming up will come to us in the right moment.
